MANAGING DIRECTOR & CLIENT ACCOUNT MANAGER
With over 8 years in sales, hospitality, and executive admin, Carys has always taken a people first approach to supporting busy business owners. Since launching The Exec Space in 2023, Carys has grown it from a one-woman venture into a thriving agency that supports clients across all industries. She’s passionate about creating flexible opportunities for her team and ensuring every client feels genuinely supported.
In 2024, Carys was recognised as an Executive Contributor for Brainz Magazine and received their prestigious CREA Global Award. This year, The Exec Space was proudly named Administrative Support Provider of the Year by Corporate LiveWire.
Outside of work, you’ll often find Carys at her happiest on the beach, spending quality time with her family. She also loves unwinding with a chilled rosé gin while catching up on The Real Housewives - her guilty pleasure after a busy day of running the business and being Mum.

Ciaran Mattocks

With over 10 years’ experience in customer relations, sales, and business management, he knows exactly what it takes to build long lasting relationships and deliver results. Clients love his approachable style, attention to detail, and the way he makes every project feel smooth and seamless.
Ciaran is all about making sure clients feel supported, valued, and confident that they’re in safe hands
When he’s not keeping clients happy, Ciaran shares life with Carys and their beautiful little boy, who ensures no two days are ever the same! Away from work and family life, you’ll usually find him on the rugby pitch playing for Salcombe Rugby Club – proving his teamwork skills extend far beyond the office.

Steve Phillips
OPERATIONS LEAD
Steve brings over 25 years of experience in the music publishing industry, where he held senior roles in operations and IT. From serving as General Manager of a leading music publishing office - overseeing HR, team development, IT systems, and even new office builds - to later stepping into Director and VP roles, Steve has a proven track record of making businesses run smoothly.
At The Exec Space, Steve heads up operations and back-office support, not only keeping things organised internally but also working directly with clients who need this expertise. He leads projects and teams with a steady hand, ensuring businesses have the systems and structures in place to grow with confidence.
Outside of work, Steve is dad to two and proud Grandad to one. When he’s not spending time with family, you’ll often find him out on his motorbike or deep into his studies. He’s currently completing a Master’s in Psychology to add to his degrees in Computer Science, Marketing, and Social Science. And, of course, he’s always ready with one of his famously terrible dad jokes!

Becky brings over 25 years of experience in business operations, events, and executive support within the legal sector. Specialising in remote business management and PA services that go far beyond routine admin, she’s skilled at streamlining operations, managing sponsorships, coordinating events, and supporting strategic growth.
At The Exec Space, Becky leads our VA Community and Support, making sure our trusted VAs are happy, well-trained, and perfectly matched to each client. With her calm, organised approach and director-level insight, she ensures both clients and VAs receive the very best support.
